This November at bobo kids, Franco-American artist, Estelle Stephens will exhibit a collection of paintings in a ‘modern retro’ style, cleverly transforming vintage images into Pop Art.

Using bold and vibrant colours, she seeks to capture the essence and era of her chosen childhood characters by creating a shabby or aged effect through texture and a variety of paints for children and parents to enjoy. The exhibition will launch in-store on 10th November 2011 and run through until the end of the year.

bobo kids is pleased to announce the first in a  series of art exhibitions to be held at its store in Chelsea, London. Beginning in May 2011, the shop will showcase a selection of vibrant and eclectic artwork from established and up-and-coming artists, for all types of environment from teenage bedrooms through to nurseries and playrooms.  The first exhibition (6th May until 31st July) is by  French artist, Yann Sciberras, whose unusual street art represents a snapshot of time, real life, current news and fantasy using graffiti words, slogans, images and emotions.
